A video sculpture based on the Seagull by Anton Chekhov. This piece pays tribute to the 'superfluous', who seeks to make changes or are struggling for dreams, but are ultimately restrained by social structures and personal capabilities. The black box takes somewhat the shape of a old fashioned video camera, and also acts as Treplev's studio. The frosted window is a two-way projection screen: one side receiving video projection, the other, a shadow play of light.
